The City of Wilburton in partnership with the local school district and various community businesses/organizations offer a variety of parks, recreation programs, and community activities that help bring families, neighbors, and visitors together year-round. From local parks and youth sports to outdoor adventures and community events, Wilburton continues to create opportunities for healthy living, teamwork, and community pride.
Residents and visitors can enjoy several parks and recreational spaces throughout the community, along with nearby outdoor destinations such as Robbers Cave State Park, which provides hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding, and scenic Oklahoma beauty for all ages to enjoy.
Wilburton Parks and Recreation offers youth and adult sports leagues designed to encourage participation, sportsmanship, fitness, and fun. Programs may include weeball, tball, baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, flag football, tennis, pickleball, kickball, rugby, and other seasonal recreational activities. These programs help build confidence, friendships, leadership skills, and community involvement for participants of all ages.
Families can also enjoy community events, holiday celebrations, tournaments, outdoor movie nights, fitness programs, and activities hosted throughout the year. Popular amenities such as the city splash pad, playgrounds, walking areas, and sports facilities provide safe and welcoming spaces for recreation and family entertainment.
Community involvement plays an important role in the success of Wilburton Parks and Recreation. Volunteers, coaches, sponsors, and local organizations help support programs, maintain facilities, and create memorable experiences for children and families.
