In response to growing food insecurity in our community, listed below are local organizations that are joining forces to host food assistance and distribution programs/events aimed at supporting local families in need.

Seniors 60+:
Wilburton Senior Citizens Center - 918.465.2122 - 309 W. Ada - Lunch served daily Mon.-Fri. 11:45am-12:15pm. Homebound Meals also availble - Thanksgiving Luncheon Nov. 25th 11:15am-12:00pm - Please visit the center or contact Site Manager Pam Tucker to get signed up.
Tribal Assistance:
Choctaw Nation - One-time $150 payment for eligible tribal members affected by SNAP changes - Apply: Chahta Achvffa Member Portal by Nov. 14 - 2025 Holiday Food Voucher available for eligible low-income applicants
Events:
Wilburton Fire Department - Thanksgiving Meal Fundraiser and Assistance Program
New Life Church Food for Families - DRIVE THRU Wednesday, November 5th 4p.m.-5:30p.m. - first come, first served.
Other Assistance:
Salt of the Earth Church - 605 Hwy 2 N - Suds Your Duds Laundromat - Laundry Love on the 2nd Sunday monthly 2pm -4pm -The cost of two washer loads and one dryer load will be provided for any person/family.
How You Can Help - The success of these programs depends on community support. Residents can get involved by:
- Donating non-perishable food items or funds
- Volunteering at the event or food pantry
- Spreading the word to those who may need assistance
